Arcam Today

Arcam (founded in 1997) provides a unique Free Form Fabrication (FFF®) technology for Direct Manufacturing of fully dense parts from metal powder. The technology is based on Electron Beam Melting (EBM) and parts are manufactured by melting metal powder and building up the parts layer-by-layer.

Since the birth of Arcam, our vision has remained the same: to revolutionize the art of manufacturing complex parts. Our technology is the result of intensive research and development and has a wide array of applications within Direct Manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping, and is used in for example the Medical Implant, Aerospace and Automotive industries.

Arcam offers a high level of geometric freedom combined with firstclass material properties. Our CAD to Metal® technology provides fully dense metal with material characteristics identical to the target metals used. Our strategy is to combine first-class material properties with rapid build speeds and complex shapes.
